Electronic Theses and Dissertations at Georgia Tech will begin with a pilot program in Summer 2003 for those wishing to submit an ETD instead of a paper thesis or dissertation. Beginning in 2004 all Georgia Tech theses and dissertations will be submitted electronically.
The ETD program will:
Increase access to theses and dissertations by making them available over the Internet without regard to geography or time of day
Provide these valuable University records in digital format linked through the library catalog
Alleviate space concerns in the Library and Information Center
This project is jointly sponsored by the Graduate Studies and Research Office and the Library and Information Center.
Georgia Tech is a member of the Networked Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations and will participate in the Open Archives Initiative.
